Bio – Betty Ross's life has been consumed by a battle between two men, her father and Bruce Banner. Even before the gamma accident turned Bruce Banner into the Hulk, Betty's attraction to him led to her father developing a disdain for the brilliant scientist. Despite her father's best efforts, Betty and Bruce were eventually married. But after her father was transformed into the Red Hulk and the Abomination tried to poison her, Betty and Bruce's relationship suffered, and they separated. Betty was later abducted and transformed into the Red She-Hulk by the Leader.

New Lockbox Hero: Winter Soldier
Winter Soldier

Bio - James "Bucky" Barnes became fast friends with Steve Rogers after rescuing the scrawny Steve from bullies. After Pearl Harbor, the two friends enlisted in the army where Bucky became a Sergeant in the 107th infantry. Bucky was captured by HYDRA, and this time it was Steve, as Captain America, who rescued Bucky. Bucky fought alongside Captain America as a member of Cap's Howling Commandos, an elite crew fighting against HYDRA and the Nazis. Once believed to have been killed in action, Bucky was captured and brainwashed by HYDRA and the Soviets, becoming the assassin known as the Winter Soldier.

Special Notes regarding Mines:

Group Boss: Zzzax

Zzzax was created in an accident at a nuclear power plant. The psionic being incinerated everyone nearby, absorbing their collective intelligence. Zzzax sought to kill more people to increase its intelligence further, often conflicting with the Hulk.

New Villain: The Leader

High school dropout, Samuel Sterns, worked in a chemical plant when an accident exposed him to gamma radiation, leaving him with a voracity for knowledge. Now as the Leader, he seeks to conquer the world; shaping it as he sees fit.  

Marvel Avengers Alliance: Spec Op 31: Jessica Jones Patch Note

A gang war erupts in Hell’s Kitchen after Boomerang picks a fight with the Shocker, sending a message from the Owl. Receiving this message loud and clear, Kingpin takes to the streets to settle this dispute personally, further escalating the danger. Jessica Jones leads a S.H.I.E.L.D. response team to get the streets back under control.

Spec Op 31 Reward Hero: Jessica Jones
Bio – The same accident that left Jessica Jones in a coma and killed her parents was also responsible for giving her amazing strength. Shortly after deciding to become a hero, she became a victim of the Purple Man's mind control. Jessica eventually broke free from his control, but remained traumatized by the long term experience. With her hero days behind her, Jessica opened Alias Investigations and became a private detective, working with locals like Matt Murdock, Luke Cage and Heroes for Hire. Jessica and Luke eventually turned a fling into a thing, and ended up married with a daughter. Jessica has recently been kept busy helping Luke lead various teams like the Mighty Avengers.

New Lockbox Hero: Boomerang
Bio - Fred Myers loved baseball, but not enough to stop accepting bribes. Recruited by a criminal organization that outfitted him with the deadly boomerangs he came to be known by, Fred became a mercenary for hire. Commonly seen as a joke, Fred fought for his villainous peers' approval, but usually ends up falling flat on his face. Still, it's hard to find good help, and Fred found opportunities to earn a living. Hearing of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s incredible benefits from Constrictor and Taskmaster, Fred decided it was worth a shot to put his skills to use against his peers instead of trying to earn their approval. They'll see just how good he is when his boomerangs whack them across the head.

Group Boss: Kingpin
Wilson Fisk's rise from the streets of Hell's Kitchen was a result of his strong ambition and strategic mind than just his incredible skull-crushing strength. His ruthless efforts became infamous, earning him the title as the Kingpin of crime.

New Villain: Beetle
Janice Lincoln was given a suit of beetle armor by Baron Zemo and Fixer. She eventually found herself working with Boomerang until he had a change of heart and now sells her skills to the highest bidder.

New Villain: Shocker
Herman Schultz was just a career criminal until he built his own battle suit that could generate shockwaves. He defeated a weakened Spider-Man in their first encounter, gaining increasing notoriety.

Alternate versions of Spider-Man from multiple dimensions are gathering on Earth, looking for strength in numbers while staying one step ahead of their pursuers - a family of Spider-eating Inheritors. As the Spiders flee from the Inheritors, they find themselves up against the Sinister Six, who are wielding a powerful, Spider-fueled machine capable of altering the universe. Spec Op 27 Reward Hero: Ultimate Spider-Man aka Miles Morales
Bio – This alternate Ultimate Spider-Man is Miles Morales. He was also bitten by a radioactive spider which gave him abilities similar to our own Spider-Man. Miles initially refused to become a Super Hero, wishing to live a normal life, but after he witnessed the death of his predecessor, he decided to use his abilities to help others and live to the very mantra that it seems most Spiders live by, that with great power comes great responsibility.

New Lockbox Hero: Superior Spider-Man
Bio: On first glance, this alternate Spider-Man appears to be a more aggressive and condescending version of Peter Parker. This is only partially true as this version of Spider-Man is actually possessed by the mind of Dr. Otto Octavius, a.k.a. Doctor Octopus. Evading death by possessing the body of his arch-nemesis, Octavius was infused with the memories of his predecessor and became determined to show the world what a Superior Spider-Man was capable of while hiding his true identity, especially from other Spiders.

  • Fantomex’s Sensing A-iso has been fixed, so that EVA precounters before using the PreEVA attack
  • The Puncturing A-iso can now be socketed into X-23’s Horseman of War Uniform

General Improvements
The MAA team continues to improve the game based on your feedback to keep it fun and balanced for all players.

Changes to Quick Actions
Quick Actions can only be performed once per round. Once a Quick Action has been performed, a new affliction will be applied to the character called Stalled, which will lock out any Quick Actions on that character, preventing them from being performed. While Exhausted, Quick Actions will become Normal Actions and function just the same as any action or ability without the Quick Action or Free Action Special Property.

Introducing Free Actions
Free Actions are a new Special Property that will grant an extra turn after using the applied action. Any number of Free Actions can be performed in a single round, cooldowns permitting. Using a Free Action does not lock out any other abilities. While Exhausted, Free Actions will become Quick Actions and function just the same as an action with the Quick Action Special Property.

Spec Op 25 Reward Hero: Chase Stein & Old Lace
Bio – Chase Stein was an average high school student who was good at sports and even better at slacking off, much to the chagrin of his genius-level inventor parents. Chase and his friends ran away from home when they found out that their parents were part of a murderous super villain group known as The Pride. While investigating his parent’s workshop, Chase came across many of his parent’s inventions, including a pair of X-Ray Goggles and a set of weaponized Fistigons. An embodiment of feminine perfection, Amora the Enchantress learned the ways of magic through seduction and force. Hopelessly smitten with Thor, Amora has tried for millennia to seduce him and embroil him in her plots to take over Odin's throne. Failing, she turned against humanity believing Thor's love for Midgard, and perhaps Lady Sif, to be responsible for him spurning her affections. New Group Boss: Surtur
The oldest being in all the realms, Surtur is the Lord of Muspelheim and Odin's eternal rival. Wielding the Twilight Sword, Surtur seeks to destroy all the realms in fire, leaving nothing but the ashes of creation behind.


New Villain: Hela
While Loki is responsible for her "birth," there is no love between the god of mischief and the goddess of death. In fact, Hela cares not for her fellow gods and only wishes to rule over all the nine realms.


New Villain: Ymir
Ymir is the progenitor of the Jotuns of Niffleheim. He considers all life, save for his kin, to be abominations that must be destroyed.


Known Issues
Loki’s Trickster Seal
Trickster status is not currently affecting character self heals. Healing others results in damage being dealt, but healing oneself still heals the character. This affects powers and items like Iron Fist’s Healing Chi and Nano-nurse.

Agent level 300+
The cap on experience gains has been removed, allowing Agents at level 300 to continue to earn experience. While the maximum level and stats stay capped for level 300 Agents, filling the experience bar will continue to award 1 Gold and refill Energy, just as if you’ve leveled up.

Update
Research
Research tooltips for the items required to complete a research topic are now displayed on a newly implemented Locked Button, which can be seen on all locked research topics. This solves the problem of extensive tooltips hiding the required items, as the tooltip was too big to be displayed in its entirety.
