Ok guys, I've been doing some number crunching, and it's definitely going to be possible to recruit her in the timeframe WITHOUT having to use any gold for unstable ISO...
1: accept only ISO daily until you get 5* mastery
2: do not bother with deployments (even the ones required for the epic boss battle - it's just too inefficient)
3: take the highest threat missions, and 2-bird the bosses in parts 1 and 2 (part 3 requires the boss and mini-boss battles be done separately)
4: use your big guns, and hardest hitting heroes. You're better off trying to win the battle as fast as possible, than trying for the frenemies bonus and losing out on time and health bonuses
5: the total score for mastery of all 3 missions combined equals 7.8 million...
6: or 280K per day...
7: from 10 battles...
8: 28K per battle...
9: divided by 2 (since scores are doubled when you exit map)...
10: means you need an average of 14K per battle...
11: which is entirely possible - especially if you stick to the first 3 points in this post
So far, I have been averaging over 30K mission points for every 5 ISO. Not because I've been getting great scores in each battle (believe me, I haven't been getting great scores), but because of the amount that the average spikes by doing highest threat battles, and doubling up on the boss fights.
And since Spec Ops and Story missions can be done separately, any leftover energy can be used for farming CP, or whatever it is you're currently doing in story mode!

I calculated the amount of Energy and Unstable Iso's which are needed to aquire 5 Stars on all 3 Missions.
It's not an exact number, it's the number you need at least to achieve :
Mission 1 : 59+ times cleared for 5 Stars
Mission 2 : 38+ times cleared for 5 Stars
Mission 3 : 38+ times cleared for 5 Stars
The number of Energy and Unstable Iso's if you want to clear the whole Mission each time :
Mission 1 : 5900+ Energy 4425+ Unstable Iso's
Mission 2 : 3420+ Energy 2660+ Unstable Iso's
Mission 3 : 3420+ Energy 2470+ Unstable Iso's
Together: 12740+ Energy ; 9555+ Unstable Iso's
1274 Fights.
Let's say you need 5 Mins for 1 Fight !
All Fights together will take at least 106 Hours and 12 Mins.
That makes at least 4 Days and 10 Hours of playing.
Whoever aims for Mocking Bird Good Luck and Have Fun while farming her like hell !

Another Alternate Guide to Unstable ISO-8 + Mocking Bird Spec Ops by Roger Wong
It is definitely POSSIBLE to clear all 3 missions without spending any $$$ or Gold by sticking to the 3 Cardinal rules laid out in Ashton's guide:
1: Accept only 50 Unstable ISO daily until you get 5* mastery
2: Don't bother with deployments (even the ones required for the epic boss battle - it's just too inefficient)
3: Take the highest threat missions*, and 2-bird the bosses in parts 1 and 2 (part 3 requires the boss and mini-boss battles be done separately)
* This is only true when you are still far from 5 Star Mastery, since whatever score you have in excess of the requirements for 1*/2*/3*/4* will carry forward. The trick here is to try and get the 5 Star Mastery at one go without having to repeat the whole series of missions just to make up for the shortfall.
For eg, in my case, I was about 622k points away from 5 Star Mastery. So that meant I need to chalk up 622k score in 2 runs i.e each run = 311K. Since scores are doubled + 1K whenever you exit the map, that worked out to 310K/2 => 155k mission scores which I need to chalk up per run. For every mission cleared, I noted the score in an excel spreadsheet until I hit 155k in total. Whenever my score falls short, I will clear any available Medium threat missions until I hit 155k total before exiting the map. Even when I do have to take on additional medium threat missions, that had not set me back by anything more than 35 Unstable ISOs so far.
**It's very important that you only field your BIGGEST GUNS heroes in the Spec Ops missions so that you are only raking in Amazing/Superior Mission scores**
I had cleared 5* Mastery for 2 missions with 19 more days to go and I only put in like 4 hrs every evening on a daily dose of 50 Unstable ISOs, so for those out there, don't lose hope. Where there is a will & an excel spreadsheet, there is a way. In the meanwhile, continue to enjoy the game!
