Marvel Avengers Alliance: Announcement PvP Tournament scoring explained -2013/07/02

Hello Agents,
We would like to take a moment to address the concerns voiced about the new scoring system we implemented. This season, the requirements for the Leagues changed from a percentage-based system to a fixed Rating requirement. We think this change creates a more clear and understandable goal, instead of a rating target that continues to move throughout the tournament. The Adamantium requirement of 1550 was chosen by analyzing the final Ratings data for the last three Tournaments. We expect roughly 30% more players will be able to attain the required Rating than in previous tournaments, making it easier to get the reward Hero than before.
Unfortunately, this has had an unintended side effect of causing some confusion in the middle of the Tournament. Over the course of a Tournament, the average rating of players in the top three Leagues increases. However, because it takes time for the rating points to “trickle up” to the top players, this means that players who are doing very well percentage-wise still will not have the required rating to move up to the next League. This makes the current Tournament feel “harder” than previous seasons.
Rest assured that as the Tournament progresses, the top players’ ratings will increase greatly as more matches are played, and the target of 1550 should be an easier goal for those who had placed in Adamantium in previous seasons. In order to mitigate these feelings of frustration while the Tournament is in progress, we will make the next Tournament more inclusive, promoting players who qualify for either the fixed Rating requirement or are in the target percentile.
We are committed to delivering the best possible experience to our PvP players as we can, and we appreciate your continued support as we make improvements to the system.

I like the new system...although PD is right it does make it feel harder.

I am now stuck at diamond league. I can't even go to the vibranium league when i logged the game out.

Ha! PvP still stays the same for me; a place where the people who pump in lots of money into this game always win in the end, and those, like me, who try to use their brains, always languish in the Silver League. I have some great heroes, but because of this stupid PvP, no combination ever works. Whenever I return, there is a drop in my rating by atleast 50 points! I have been placed in Silver League for all previous tournaments. And on top of that, the Reward Heroes are made excessively powerful (Psylocke,etc.), while amazing players from previous Spec Ops have been severely downgraded (Rescue). It is a very unfair system for those people who do not wish to waste money. Plus I am always matched with enemies far beyond my Agent level. What kind of fairness is this?! I wish I could complain about such cheating players but Playdom has put a very difficult procedure to put in complaints (creating account, and all other useless stuff). So long story short, I am fed up of these PvP tournaments because 99% of the time, I STAND TO LOSE EVERYTHING I WORKED HARD TO BUILD! Putting good Iso-8 in heroes' uniforms, working out different team combinations, attacks, etc., ALL GOES WASTE! :'(

I have not spent a cent on the game and I easily get into gold league every tournament. Diamond is also not too difficult. Save up your cp for good heroes. A good team build and strategy are essential.

dont waste ur gold, save upto to 60 and unlock pvp armoury bonus by using the gold. After that improve ur armoury and then u will see the difference.

Tournament Extended! We are aware of an issue that is affecting PVP balance. Due to this we will be extending Season 13 by a week, and fixing the bug. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
