This is an on-going process resource guide. It is by no means a comprehensive and conclusive. We welcome any feedback, tips, strategems plus suggestions during the journey of game exploration and experience. Please COMMENT and do not edit please.

PVP Bonus Expansion III

PVP Bonus Expansion IV

This guide is designed to help new players who are interested in participating in PvP. This resource guide hopefully will prove to be a reference platform for both new and existing MAA PvP players.

Classes
Each class (excluding Generalist) provides a bonus against another class, and has a counter class also. This is akin to rock-paper-scissors - Blasters beat Bruisers who beat Scrappers who beat Infiltrators who beat Tacticians who beat Blasters.

Tacticians
Gain a bonus turn after attacking Blasters.

Blasters
All hits against Bruisers are critical hits and ignore defense.

Bruisers
Gain enraged when attacking or attacked by scrappers (extra damage per enraged max of 2)

Scrappers
Performs a free follow up attack when attacking Infiltrators.

Infiltrators
Gains combat awareness when attacking tacticians (improves odds of counter attacking)

The Battle System Eco-cycle
Tacticians > Blasters > Bruisers > Scrappers > Infiltrators > Tacticians

It's a dog eat dog world. Sometimes an oppositie class is able to strike back at its stronger class due to Agent's turn of use of gadgets, weaponary to retaliate. While the system is here to stay, it's best to play by experience and act accordingly to the prevail circumstances and turn.

So what exactly are the benefits when gamers enter into the world of PvP?
5XP per agent, and character for every successfully won fight. 1XP for lost battles.
This also include randomly dropped and useful consumable items from critical hits in the course of game-play.

As you climb the PvP board, you will also gain many 'enemies'. It is entirely up to you the gamer to 'get revenge' on players who visited your Agent and team.

Suggested PvP Combo
*These are just suggestion based on experience of the players, many things can be changed as the game is updated/heroes buffed/or nerfed.
*Also not all heroes will be here, just taking the most commanly used and in our opinion the best.

Offensive PVP combo
*Kill your enemy before they kill your concept.
Spiderman (Bruiser) + War Machine
Spiderman (bruiser) + Thor
Hulk + Thor
She Hulk + Thor
Torch/Ms Marvel + Thor
Kitty Pryde + Thor/Hulk

Defensive PVP combo
*Stay alive and slowly kill your enemy.
Storm + Spiderman
Daredevil + Spiderman
Captain America + Spiderman
Collosus + Spiderman
Collosus + Captain America
Storm + Captain America
Dr Strange + Storm (tactitian)
Daredevil + Captain America
Invisible woman + Captain/spiderman

All Round PVP combo
*Alot people uses them as they are defensive and offensive to a certain extend.
Spiderman + Thor
Captain America + Thor
Spiderman + Hulk
Captain America + Hulk
Warmachine + Spiderman
Warmachine + Captain America (bruiser)

Suggested PvP Equipment Set-Up
1) Quantum Jumper, 2 x Chrono Overdrive, Super Blade Punch
2) Laser Spotter, Magnetic Field Generator, Golden Screaming Eagle
3) P.E.W. Eradicator, Cosmic Ray Bomb, Deep Field Cannon, Magnetic Field Generator
4) Quantum Jumper, Super Blade Punch, Chrono Drive, Cosmic Ray Bomb

*Some tips in arranging your team would be to always have a counter class for your heroes, for example if u are using a bruiser, try to put a Tactician with him so he can take advantage of the blaster that will counter your bruiser.

*Sadly most of the scrapper class is not that great at the moment as their bonus for bruisers (enraged) is too high. Blasters too have a bit of a problem as Tactitians get 2 turns out of them.

*Lastly know that you are fighting the AI, with the correct counter class, any combo can be beaten.

What and why i use (lvl 36):
War Machine (any lvl) - makes a lot of damage + double round on blasters (in case of fighting Iron Man, easy win) + it has the Blade Punch with passes through any Force Field
Ms, Marvel (lvl 9+) - makes a lot of damage + double round after Knee Speed, where i can use Absorb Energy with Photon Blast (attack with makes at least 600+ dmg, i got even 1200dmg on a Bruiser)
Agent - (Tactician) 1. Laser Sword (won) (like War Machine's Blade Punch, the Laser Sword ignores Force FFields) ; 2. Aegis Defender (won) - Protects my allies, i use it for protecting Ms. Marvel, and gives extra round if attacked. So, double win
3. Curative Research (bought) - because i use Aegis Defender, i need something to restore my HP, and this gadget restores about 300HP to all allies.

ive taken to using nightcrawler. since his attacks are stealthy and everybody uses captain america (or at least colussus) with the alternate uniform bonus and scarlet witch. nightcrawler can attack scarlet witch even with protect abilities and kill her before she can just be annoying like she is. get him lvl 12 with all refined attack/acc gems and watch him tear it up. plus if he ends up being the last alive he can still win with smart use of his shadow guard. really great in pvp is nightcrawler

i use colossus with scrapper phoenix 5 uniform + iron fist
A weapon that exposes targets (lower 25% defense), another one to raise the attack 25% and iron fist will mop everything up before they notice, while colossus tank everything.

Bad combo to defend while you are not online though, the IA is very stupid and will attack with colossus.

Since Ghost Rider is expired and I'm not going to spend real $, I saved up for Hercules and combo him with Dr. Strange. Works well...finishing .3%.

January 13, 2013 at 2:22 PM

buy black widow's uniform of tactician and get black widow to lvl 9

January 17, 2013 at 1:04 AM

@Anonymous I'd say Spiderman because he can get rid of tacticians for your blaster agent and can also do a tag team protection with Captain America.

January 17, 2013 at 9:39 AM

@Anonymous However I'm currently using a General Agent (Hoarfrost Mace/Fist of Colossus/Signpost/Laufey's Needle), Tactician Dr. Strange, and Bruiser Hercules. :)

had bit of bad luck in several battles against Lvl 9 psylocke/emma frost team which seems to complement each other well, dont know what equip agent had but i''d recommend a buff/debuff/d.o.t (damage over time)loadout combo

my current team is doc strange tactician, FF torch blaster, tactician recon2 impact armor w/ chaotic iso fragments in armor AND heroes, radian cannon for stackable d.o.t., army of one for single target weakened and exposed debuffs and multiple target burning to crit boost torch fireball, radian rifle for radian weapon (radian cannon) damage boost, teresing boost and flame on to heal torch, defender passive shield bolt of balthakk boosted by vapors of valtorr. not perfect combo but very effective most of the time

April 24, 2013 at 2:39 PM

Black Widow Tactician Uniform + Her level 9 debuff are just awesome. Have capability to kill any blaster in just one round.
